Psalm Reflection: Fifth Sunday of Lent (Cycle B)

“Do not drive me from before your face, nor take from me your Holy Spirit.” - Psalm 51:13
⠀⠀
If Jesus was right in front of you, would you recognize Him? In the midst of the busy seasons in life, it becomes all-too-easy to allow our prayer life to be brushed aside for the sake of the to-do list. Our relationships with family and friends suffer if we brush them aside; the same is true with God. If we want to be close to Him, to hear his voice, and to see Him at work in our lives each day, then we need to work at it. It is like a marriage, a family, or your relationship with your best friend: it takes time and effort. The beautiful thing about God is that He is always making a 100% effort, 100% of the time, more than we ever could do in return. This week, think about the things standing in the way of your relationship with God, or the things you look to instead of God for fulfillment. When you begin to notice them, pray, “God, you are more than enough for me.” God bless you this week!

See you in the Eucharist!
